History of Serrianni's Authentic Italian Pizza

7 Decades of Passion for Italian Food

In 1953, an Italian immigrant, and friend of Sam Serrianni, taught Sam a secret recipe for thin crust Pizza.

The students at IUP, then called State Teachers College at Indiana, had 20 pizza's delivered and fed the whole school ; )

Recovering from Tragedy
- A fire had us down but we were never out!

For 43 years the restaurant was known as having the best authentic Italian Pizza from coast to coat.

Encouragement to re-open came from our homeown and surrounding areas from Indiana PA. to Pittsburgh PA. and beyond. We will be forever grateful.

So, in 2001, the local community and townsfolk missed the Pizza so much they convinced Valerie, Sam’s daughter to re-open Serrianni's!!!

And over the last 72 years, the restaurant gained many loyal food-loving customers in its Homer City, PA. location.
