In 1953 an Italian immigrant and friend of Sam Serrianni taught Sam a secret thin crust Pizza recipe. Sam started making Cheese Pizza and Pepperoni Pizza in his bar/restaurant in 1953 and continued until Christmas 1996 when a tragic fire forced the bar/restaurant to close.
For 43 years the restaurant was known as having an authentic Italian Pizza second to none. Over the years the restaurant gained many loyal pizza loving customers in its McIntyre/Coal Run home town and surrounding areas.
In 2001 the local community and townsfolk missed the Pizza so much they convinced Valerie, Sam’s daughter to re-open the Pizzeria portion of the business.
Today a variety of artisan Pizza’s and Calzones are handmade to exacting order on Thursday and Saturday nights only by Valerie and her daughter Sheena, and with the occasional help from other children Nick, Tiffany and Bradley.
Also Sierra, Valerie’s granddaughter will hopefully continue the family tradition with her help in the business. The business is as unique and special as the food created and shared with our neighbors like you.
